I put 7 or 8 coats of spray paint on deeper scrapes on a rubber bumper and it didn't begin to fill the void.
I did find that for deep scrapes it may be best to start with the brush on applicator to build the paint up. Paint is always a good match and spray cans have good quality nozzles.
